This Document helps to solve the basic HP OfficeJet pro 8745 Printer Paper related issues. When your printer can’t pick the paper or can’t feed the paper into the tray. Error messages like “out of paper” or “pick the motor stalled “error messages will get displayed in the printer’s control panel.

Step 1: Printer rest
Switch on your printer and make sure that your printer is idle before starting the process. Unplug the one end of the power cord from the rear end of the printer and other end of the power outlet. Rest for at least 60 seconds. Connect the power cord back to the power outlet and to the rear end of the printer. Switch on your printer and Try to print. If the issue is still not resolved, continue the troubleshooting process
Step 2: Updating the printer’s firmware
Touch the ePrint icon from the printer’s control panel. Wait until the printer gets connected to the print Server, it will automatically display ePrint Status. Touch Settings on the Bottom left corner of the screen and choose Printer Update, select Check for Update now. These processes may resolve the issues, if the issue is still not resolved to continue with the next step.
Step 3: Reloading HP OfficeJet pro 8745 Printer Paper
Hold and Grab the input tray, pull the tray towards you. Slide your paper width guide as far as possible. Take out all the paper from the paper tray. Place a stack of Unused A4 or U.S Letter, White Paper in the center of the tray. Ensure that the paper height does not cross the solid red lines of the printer tray’s side. Adjust with the paper width guides where they can rest against the edges of the paper. If your printer has extended input tray for longer paper, then set paper length guide that can secure the paper toward the end of the tray. Gently insert the tray back into the printer and push the tray closer. Pull out the tray extender of the output tray.

Step 4: checking Pick roller condition
If you are printing cards, envelopes, photo paper or labels, check with the pick roller. Try to Clean the pick roller if you have not used envelopes, photo paper labels. Get the following cleaning materials: a clean lint free cloth, distilled water. Turn off the printer and Disconnect the power cord from the rear end of the printer, unplug the power connection and other cable connection of the printer. Remove the printer’s tray by pulling it towards you. Make sure that there are no clogged HP OfficeJet pro 8745 Printer Paper or other materials inside the printer. Turn your printer, so that you can see the pick roller and roll the pick roller so that the rubber part is visible for you. Gently damp a clean lint-free cloth with a distilled water and squeeze out the excess liquid, place your cloth against the roller and rotate them to the right. Apply some pressure to remove dust or dirt. Rotate the roller back into the original position and check for torn pieces inside the printer. Place your printer into its normal position so that you can face your printer’s control panel. Place Tray1 and Tray2 into its position.
Step 5: Checking Duplexer rollers
Remove the duplexer by pushing the side buttons. You can easily check for jamming or torn paper pieces by using the flashlight, make sure that you have removed all the torn pieces since it may result in further jam. Check duplex rollers for torn HP OfficeJet pro 8745 Printer Paper and to ensure that they are clean and free. Gently damp a clean lint-free cloth with a distilled water and squeeze out the excess liquid, place your cloth against the roller and rotate them to the right. Apply some pressure to remove dust or dirt. It should dry for at least 15 minutes. Close the duplexer cover and place it again into the printer’s rear access area. Place the duplexer back into its place. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn on the printer.
Step 6: Printer Services
