- Print method
The Drop-on-demand thermal inkjet printing method is used in the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printers. The Drop on Demand (DOD) is categorized into inkjet printing technology where the print head ejects the drop only when it is needed. Within the print head, the drops are formed by the creation of a pressure pulse. Thermal and piezoelectric are the two classifications within DOD to create the pressure pulse.
