HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 Printer Management Tools

The HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 printer management tool is available in two different ways based on your operating systems. Toolbox in Windows and HP Utility in OS X.  The printer has the Embedded Web server which will help you to access and manage the print features using a wireless or wired network connection. Type the printer’s IP address into a web browser to open the embedded web server website.

  1. HP Toolbox

HP Toolbox will provide maintenance information about the printer. To open the Tool box, open the HP Printer software. Click Print, scan & Fax. Then click Maintain your printer.

  1. HP Utility

The HP Utility contains tools to configure print settings, calibrate the printer, order supplies online and find website support information. Double-click the HP Utility in the HP Printer folder in the Applications folder.

  1. Embedded Web server

When the printer is connected to a network, use the printer’s embedded web server to view status information and modify settings to manage it from your computer.  You need a password to view or modify some settings.  You can open and use the embedded web server without being connected to the Internet. Some features are not available.

Open the Wi-Fi direct by swiping the dash board and touch settings icon. If the display shows that Wi-Fi Direct is 2ff , touch Wi-Fi Direct and then switch it on. From your wireless computer, turn wireless on, search for and connect to the Wi-Fi Direct name. Enter the Wi-Fi direct password and when prompted.

Type the address in the web browser on your computer.
