1. Wireless network connection

Requirements

  • The requirements are Service set Identifier(SSID) or network name, WEP key or WPA security passphrase, a computer with wireless network connection and an internet access to setup the wireless network connection. It is recommend to use the broadband connection as it will help in using Web services.
  • Turn on your computer and printer. Make sure that your computer and printer are at the same network. If you have any signal problems, make your printer to be in contact with the computer and in the range on the router during installation.

Driver installation

  • Download and install the most current version from support.hp.com and enter your printer model number. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  • Otherwise you have to follow the instructions in HP installer software. If you are not interested , you can go with the installation CD.
  • Visit 123.hp.com to enter your model number and click Begin to start the download.
  • You have to click Download and click any one button such as Open, Save or Run in any windows to display to download the driver.
  • Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation wizard
  • Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to finish the setup and driver installation. Then return to the page to complete the registration and activation

Connecting to wireless network

Driver installation

3. Wi-Fi direct connection

  • You will have the HP wireless direct button on the control panel. If not, go to the Network Setupor Wireless Settings menu and touch Wireless Direct, and then turn on the connection.

  • Choose your printer model from the list of available printers that are connected in the network and click Print After the print job gets completed, you should reconnect the mobile device to your normal wire network.
  • You are connecting to the printer, choose ON or ON with Security (optional). Make note of the passcode and click OK
  • Click the Wireless icon in your computer and select the from the available printer list on your computer or laptop. Type the security passcode from the printer control panel if you are prompted to do so.
  • Open the file either a document or photo that you wish to print and click Fileà You have to choose your printer model from the list of available printers and click Print.

1. HP Smart app

Check the requirements for print using ePrint. Initially the printer address in the TO: field only. Other email address should be in the Cc: field. A blank email subject line will lead to HP ePrint error or it will cancel the print job. Open office files are not supported. Printing on both sides is not supported.

3. HP ePrint Mobile app

Use the HP ePrint App to print any supported HP printer connected on the same wireless network. The HP ePrint app is retired for Apple iOS devices. Print photos or documents using the HP ePrint app. You can also print using the cloud services like google drive and Dropbox from wherever you are with the help of an active internet connection.

Gather the requirements such as Android OS version 4.0 and later versions or Amazon fire OS with 4.1- 4x and 5.1 or 5x or later versions.

Connect to a wireless network using the Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone. Check whether the wireless signal is switched on and the printer is connected to the same wireless network as your mobile device.
