Remove the printer from the box. Remove the tapes, stickers and other packing materials from the printer. The packing materials will present both inside and outside the printer. The control panel will be covered with a protective film. Remove the film from the control panel.
Open the input tray door and pull the paper width guide as far as possible. Load up to 250 sheets of paper print side facing up and top edge towards the printer. If you are using the pre-punched paper, the holes of the paper should be on the left side of the tray.
Slide in the paper width guide and do not push it so tightly. It may lead to bind against the paper.
Close the input tray door, if you have loaded A4 or U.S letter-size paper. If you have inserted U.S legal size or large paper, do not close the input tray door.
Disconnect the USB cable if you have connected the printer to computer using the USB cable. Connect one end of the power cord to the rear of the printer and other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Switch on the printer. Select your country/region and language on the printer control panel and select the date and time if prompted. Press OK and your HP printer hardware setup is completed successfully.

Download the printer software by using HP website or HP Easy Start or from your installation CD that is shipped along with the printer.
On your Windows or OS X, download the HP Easy start and go to 123.hp.com to download the printer software.
Follow the onscreen instructions and save the file on your computer. The software can be launched by running the file with an extension .exe and install it.
Download the software from hp.support.com. enter your printer model. Select the software and driver tab and click Go. Download the full feature driver or basic driver and launch the software file from the Downloads folder.
Use the printer driver installation CD on your Windows computer. Insert the CD in the computer’s CD drive and follow the instructions that appear onscreen to install the software.

You should connect your printer and mobile devices such as phone or tablet on the same wireless network.
Open the file to print and select Action icon on your Apple iOS devices. Select the printer and select print again.
Open the file you wish to print on your Android devices with 4.4 or later versions. Select the Menu button. Select Print, select the printer and select Print again.

You can directly connect the printer and your mobile device without an active internet connection by using the Wi-Fi enabled printer. Follow the below given steps to turn on the Wi-Fi direct from the control panel.
On the control panel, press the setup button. Open the network setup menu. Open the Wi-Fi direct menu and enable the Wi-Fi by touching ON.

HP ePrint setup will help you to print the documents that are sent as an email attachment to your printer’s email address. HP ePrint is a free web service based on cloud with high security by HP.
The requirements of the HP ePrint setup are the printer connected to a wired or wireless network. The network should be active, the web services must be turned on and register your printer to the HP connected account.
The HP connected account provides many functionalities like managing your print jobs, viewing the print queue and taking control of your printer’s recipients.
You need to turn on the web services to utilise the HP ePrint. Connect the printer to a network and enter the network IP address in the web browser. To find the IP address, go to Find printer IP address in the getting started guide or refer to the user guide. Click HP web services tab on the web page that appears. Accept the terms of use and click Enable button.
