Install the HP LaserJet Pro M402n printer software and driver by using any one of the method. You can either download the software from the HP website or install the software using the installation CD which is shipped along with your printer.
The installation CD may install the software quickly but it does not have the current and latest version of the printer software even when you buy a new printer.
Enter the URL 123.hp.com on your web browser and download the most current version of your printer to avoid problems while software installation.

Download the current version of the printer from the HP website 123.hp.com .
Type your printer model number and search. on the software downloads page, you will many options to download. Choose one option which suits you the most.
Complete the wireless setup when an auto wireless connection screen displays during installation. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
If you have connected any USB, it should be disconnected. Choose to download either full feature software and driver solution or basic driver accordingly.
