HP ePrint for OfficeJet 7612 Printers

Use the HP ePrint to print using your printer from anywhere and anytime. You can simply send an email to the printer’s email address which is specifically assigned for your printer. To use this service, you do not need any special drivers or software.

You have to turn on the web services to use this service.  HP ePrint is a free service based on cloud and comes with a high security. Sign up for an account on the ePrint center and view your ePrint job status by singing in to your account.

You can also manage your HP ePrint printer queue, access your printer’s HP ePrint mail address to take control over the print job sent to your printer’s mail address. Remove the USB cable from your printer, otherwise the HP ePrint service will not work. Check  whether you have an internet and email capable computer or mobile device and an HP ePrint-capable printer with web services enabled. Complete the following steps to print the documents using HP ePrint.

Turn on the web services from the control panel. Open your email application on your computer mobile device. If you need any information on your computer or mobile device email application, see the documentation provided with the application. Create an email using the mobile or computer and attach the file you wish to print. Follow the guidelines and make sure you print correctly using the HP ePrint

You have to add the printer’s email address  in the “To” line of the email message and send the mail. The eprint server does not accept email print jobs if you add multiple email addresses in the “To” and “Cc” fields. Do not add any other email address other than the printer email address. Your printer will print the attachment sent along with the email.

Follow the below instruction to find the printer’s email address.  Check whether you have created an ePrint account, otherwise create the account on HP ePrint center.

Touch the HP ePrint icon from the control panel of the printer. Touch Print Info to customize the email address. The printer code and instruction to customize the email address will  be in the information page which will be printed by the printer.

To turn off the HP ePrint, touch the HP ePrint icon from the control panel and touch settings.

Touch ePrint àOff to switch of the ePrint service on your HP OfficeJet 7612 printer.

Some of the points to remember are,

You should not leave the subject line blank when you are sending the email to the printer’s email address. This might lead to the HP ePrint server cancelling the print job. Make sure you type a subject on the subject line.

Do not send email with more than 10 MB. The total size of the email should be 10MB or less. This includes the attachments also.  The attachments should also be 10 or less than 10 per email print job.

text (.txt), PDF, HTML, Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), and Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx) are the supported document file types.

.bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, and .tiff are the supported photo file types. The pixels should be 100 or higher in both horizontal and vertical resolution in the photos.

Some of the documents that are not supported b HP ePrint are digitally signed, encrypted or password protected documents.

OpenOffice files are not supported by HP ePrint, duplex printing is not supported.
