Initially check the contents in the package to make sure that the contents in the packaging list and items shipped are matching as the contents may vary by country/region. Remove the printer from the box. You should also remove the stickers, tapes and the packing materials from the printer. You have to remove the packing materials from inside the box. HP Envy 4510/4520 Power Cord Connections
Make sure that you disconnect the USB cable. Connect the power cord to rear of the printer and plug the other end of the power cord into the electrical outlet. Switch on the printer and setup your preferences on the control panel. You can modify the language, country/region, date and also time. After modifying your preferences, click Yes to confirm your choice.
HP Envy 4510/4520 Loading Paper Into Tray
You have to load the U.S letter or A4 paper in the input tray. Pull the input tray toward you to extend the paper after opening the input tray door. You should slide the paper width guides to their outermost position. Insert the stack of paper into the paper tray. Push the stack into the tray until it stops.
HP Envy 4510/4520 Ink cartridge Installation
You have to install the HP ink cartridges that in the printer. The ink cartridges will be shipped along with your printer. Open the ink cartridge access door by raising it. The carriage move to the left, wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you proceed. Remove the ink cartridge from its package and touch the black plastic on the ink cartridge.
Proceed after the carriage become idle. You should remove one of the ink cartridges from its package. You should touch the black plastic on the ink cartridge. You should not touch the copper-colored contact or the ink nozzles. Handle these parts carefully. If not, it will result in clogs, ink failure and bad electrical connection. Close the ink cartridge slot to secure the ink cartridge into place. To insert other ink cartridge, repeat the previous steps.
The printer will print an alignment page. Otherwise, touch the Setup on the printer control panel, select Tools Align Printer to print the alignment page. Close the ink cartridge access door.
HP Envy 4510/4520 Printer Software Installation
You have finished the HP printer hardware setup. Now install the printing software. Connect the printer and computer after installing the software
Download the latest version from 123.hp.com/ojpro4510 or support.hp.com . Type the printer model number and click BeginàDownload.
Open the downloaded file with extension .exe . The printer installation wizard will open. Finish the installation process. You must enter necessary details if prompted.
You can also install the software in an alternate way by inserting the installation CD that comes with the printer. Finish the setup and you can now use the printer to print, scan and faxing.
